Physical Therapist Consultant – Preschool Special Education (1099) Location: Hudson, NY Position Type: Independent Contractor (Consultant) Pay Rate: $70.00 per hour Schedule: Part-time, Flexible HoursOverview: We are currently seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Consultant to provide services in a preschool special education program. This is a 1099 independent contractor role, not an employee position. The ideal candidate is an experienced pediatric PT with strong communication and collaboration skills who is comfortable working independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.You will support students' gross motor development in alignment with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and work closely with staff and families to help children meet developmental goals. Key Responsibilities:Conduct screenings, assessments, and physical therapy sessions (individual or group)Develop goals and therapy plans based on evaluations and IEPsProvide consultation to teachers, clinicians, and families to support classroom integration of physical therapy strategiesDocument services and progress according to school district and Medicaid standardsParticipate in IEP meetings and provide input to the Child Study TeamOffer staff training and parent workshops related to physical developmentSubmit required reports and maintain accurate service recordsMaintain and manage therapy equipment and supplies Requirements:Master's degree in Physical Therapy or related fieldValid New York State Physical Therapist LicenseMinimum 1 year of experience working with children in special education (preschool preferred)Must carry professional liability/business insuranceFamiliarity with IEP documentation and Medicaid billing standards preferredStrong organizational, communication, and time management skills Additional Information:This is an independent contractor (1099) position - no benefits are offeredConsultant must provide proof of licensure and insuranceCompensation is $70.00 per hour, paid upon invoice submissionFlexible schedule coordinated with program staffOpportunities for continued collaboration and training with a multidisciplinary team To Apply: Interested candidates should submit a resume and cover letter to:Jamie Budai Senior Recruitment and Retention Specialist Email: Phone: (518) 672-4451 ext. 2141We welcome inquiries and look forward to hearing from qualified Physical Therapist consultants who are passionate about supporting children in a preschool special education setting..
