Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Lead Software Engineer is responsible for the overall Agile delivery process of a software application or service, including design, development, testing, deployment, production application support (., troubleshooting) and maintenance with a focus on automation. The Lead Software Engineer shall collaborate to gather and review software requirements and user stories, provide estimates, create software design specifications, and collaborate with engineers and architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions. The Lead Software Engineer shall create and execute automated test plans and strategies utilizing business requirements and collaborate with engineers, architects, and clients to validate test environments, test data and test results, design and implement code fixes, validate outcomes against expected results and produce associated reporting. The Lead Software Engineer shall solve configuration and environment issues.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of 10+ years of overall related experience 5 years of experience (within the last 7 years) leading Agile DevOps engineering teams in a production environment developing systems orchestration and/or automation testing, utilizing industry standard CI/CD pipelines and modern coding languages/frameworks. A minimum of 3 years experience (within the last 5 years) with APIs and designing solutions to leverage interfaces to build SDN automation and orchestration capabilities, or capabilities such as dashboarding or monitoring. Active DOD Secret Clearance

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Current DevOps Engineer Certification. 2 years of experience working within DoD network infrastructure. 2 years of experience developing commercial SDN orchestration playbooks on a global scale comparable to this program. Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering from an accredited institution or equivalent BS degree with a focus in software development.
