Here's how you'll contribute: Manage referral calls with professionalism and empathy – You will be the first voice our clients hear when seeking help. Your ability to provide reassurance and clarity is key. Conduct initial triage screenings – Gather essential information, assess needs, and ensure clients understand their next steps. Verify insurance benefits and resolve coverage questions – Work directly with insurance companies to confirm eligibility. Secure and manage critical legal documentation – You will handle court orders, mental health diversion forms, guardianship records, and other necessary paperwork before scheduling with a clinician. Keep everything organized – Track referral calls, maintain client records, and streamline intake processes for efficiency. Collaborate with clinicians and team members – Your role ensures seamless communication and coordination between providers and clients.What a Day in This Role Looks LikeYou start your morning in the office checking your inboxa few clinician schedule updates, patient follow-ups, and a new round of referrals. As the phone rings, you greet a client in Spanish, making them feel comfortable as you guide them through the intake process. You skillfully gather necessary details while keeping the conversation focused and efficient.A client is nervous about their insurance coverageyou take the time to verify benefits, explain eligibility, and answer their questions with patience. Later in the day, you work through mental health diversion paperwork, ensuring legal documentation is collected before an appointment is scheduled. Between calls, you track and log client intake data, ensuring everything is documented correctly.Before the day ends, you problem-solve a tech issuea provider is having trouble accessing a patient's records. Thanks to your adaptability and critical thinking skills, you troubleshoot the issue, making sure everything is running smoothly before heading home, knowing you've made a difference.What It Takes to Succeed in This RoleTo thrive in this position, you'll need a unique combination of hard and soft skills:Must-Have Skills & Experience Bilingual in Spanish and English (verbal & written) – This is essential for serving our diverse community. Experience in mental health or healthcare (preferred) – Understanding the needs of this population is a big plus.
