We are seeking a talented Accounting Associate to join our team as a pivotal member that would play a key role here at PBF Energy. This role would be located onsite at our Company headquarters in Parsippany, NJ.The Accounting Associate is responsible for analyzing RightAngle price updates related to secondary costs (pipeline, rail & truck freight, terminal fees, etc.), documenting the price changes and reviewing the updates in RightAngle. Prepare journal entries for secondary cost accruals, develop secondary cost metrics, prepare and analyze financial information and assist in the monthly close.PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:Review outstanding truck freight invoices and document for RightAngle price updatesAnalyze secondary cost contractual amendments and document for RightAngle price updatesCalculate and update RightAngle contractual fuel surcharges bases on published indicesProcess secondary cost invoices through RightAngleModel SRA for secondary cost accounts payable transactionsDevelop secondary cost metricsPrepares and analyzes basic financial reports, assists in monthly close and performs basic account reconciliationsAssists in other accounting projects and research as directedAccurately analyze and report financial informationJOB QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Business preferred1+ years experience working in public or manufacturing environmentPossess effective communication skills both verbal and writtenWorking knowledge of accounting theory and principles (GAAP)Proficient with MS Excel, SAPStrong analytical and accounting and math skills and organizational skillsAbility to learn, comprehend and apply new concepts quickly. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, job-related skills and internal peer equity will be considered in determining the selected candidate’s compensation. Salaries at the time of hire are typically in the lower to middle portion of the above range in order to provide the opportunity to reflect future performance-based increases.
