You will work with the schedule and reporting work progress. You will work to organize and coordinate submittals, back check drawing updates, document reviews, meetings, and workshops. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for utilizing computers to collect, organize, and present technical data through the use of databases. You will be interfacing and coordinating with other engineering disciplines in your day-to-day work activities. The successful candidate must have strong organization and teamwork skills, proven problem-solving skills, can-do attitude, and the design to innovate designs.Job DescriptionThe primary role of the Engineering Technologist is to support the EGS, Lead, and engineers tracking of information and locating documents.The Engineering Technologist performs data searches and maintains open item punch list items status.The Engineering Technologist supports meeting presentations, including preparing presentation slides.The Engineering Technologist will also support the preparation and review of technical documents under the direction of an engineer, including supporting CAD updates/back-checking.The Engineering Technologist assures us the work is performed to high-quality standards while executing to the schedule.In addition, it will be required that the candidate has excellent communication skills and can demonstrate leadership, quality, and safety values within the work group and to interfacing disciplines.Maintain Key Process Improvement registersSupport the creation of a work environment that fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.Skills RequiredMust possess excellent written and oral communication skills.Proficient in software tools (MS Excel, Word, Access, Power Point)Computer Skills: A strong aptitude for utilizing the computer to collect, organize, and presents technical data through the use of relational databases.Technical Skills: Analyze data within technical documents to identify relevant information and properly classify that information so that it can be sorted and readily retrieved for later analysis and use by project staff.Analytical Skills: Possess the desire and ability to monitor large quantities of information and employ efficient extraction techniques in response to requests for information.Communication Skills: As a member of an Engineering team, communicate with other data analysts, engineers, technical experts, and management.Attention to Detail: Possess the ability to accurately identify and capture relevant technical details from within large documents and data sets.Ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines and functions on assigned tasksInterest in learning to draft intelligent piping & instrumentation diagramsPreferred previous client and/or DOD or DOE project experienceEducation/Training/CertificationsLevel 1: Requires an Associate of Arts or an Associate of Science degree (or international equivalent) with 1-2 years of relevant work experience OR no degree and 4-5 years of relevant work experienceLevel 2: Requires an Associate of Arts or an Associate of Science degree (or international equivalent) with 3-4 years of relevant work experience OR no degree and 5-6 years of relevant work experienceAdditional RequirementsMust be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.US Citizenship requiredWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
