We would love for you to join that family Summary The Dietary Aide performs a variety of food service functions in maintaining clean and sanitary conditions of food service areas, facilities, and equipment. He/she may also assist in some aspects of food preparation. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities Handles food and equipment according to corporate, local, state and federal sanitation policies and procedures. Is aware of safety regulations and responsibilities in operating all equipment. Delivers food carts, trays, etc., to designated areas as instructed by supervisor. Prepares and delivers snacks. Performs daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures. Reports any discrepancies in his/her area to supervisor. Ensures that customer and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Some high school is required. Must have knowledge of the methods and techniques of handling and serving food. Must have knowledge of sanitation practices relating to food handling. Must have the ability to follow diet lists, portion foods as specified, and serve food in an appetizing manner.
