What we need in a nutshell
We are looking for a Bar Supervisor. Someone who embodies passion and creativity when it comes to mixology Having at least one year's experience in a similar role would be great too. We are looking for someone with great wine knowledge, food pairing and knows how to embrace local resources when developing new ideas. Someone who understands that food and drink are central to a happy holiday. Someone who can look after our guests' every whim when they eat, drink and relax in our bar and restaurant.
Our supervisors would be supporting the Bar and Restaurant Manager with the day-to-day operations of the department, assisting with stock takes and ordering, leading by example and leading the team on shift to ensure procedures are being followed, checklists completed and guests are receiving exceptional service.
This includes:
To proactively manage the day-to-day bar operation during each shift To supervise bar staff and allocate jobs to do Guest Experience is to the required standard of the hotel. To maximise sales opportunities, Wines and Cocktail Ordering Bar items, stock control, cellar management Basic stocktakes Bar Compliance - Line Cleaning, Ice Machine cleaning, fridge temps, wastage sheets Cleaning Procedures , bar staff trained on these - Consistency Cocktail Specs up to date Wine, Mixology and local beverage knowledge To take initiativeAnd who knows what else you may find yourself doing. If you're happy to help even when it's 'not your job,' you're our sort of person. One more thing…holidays happen at holiday times, so you will need to work your magic on bank holidays too.
