DUTIES OF THE POSITION: Part-time positions teaching (clinical, lab or lecture) undergraduate Medical-Surgical Nursing, Pediatric, Perinatal, Gerontologic, Mental Health, Community Health Nursing, Health Assessment, and Healthcare Simulation. Please note that teaching assignments at California State University, East Bay may include courses at the Hayward campus, Concord Center, and/or online. The policy and expectation of the California State University is that all faculty members will perform all of their duties within the state of California. RANK AND SALARY: Lecturer. Salary is dependent upon educational preparation and experience. Position appointment is subject to budgetary authorization. The salary schedule information for the Lecturer - Academic Year Classification is available based on the following ranges: Lecturer AY () - $5,507 - $6,677 Lecturer AY () - $6,221.00 - $13,224.00 Lecturer AY () - $6,825.00 - $14,523.00 Lecturer AY () - $8,593.00 - $15,211.00 The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience. DATE OF APPOINTMENT: Fall Semester begins August 18, 2025 and Spring Semester begins January 20, 2026. QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree or higher from an accredited College or University, which includes coursework in nursing or coursework relevant to healthcare and/or health profession education. Applicants with Bachelor's degrees and appropriate nursing experience considered. Current, unrestricted California RN license, or other relevant healthcare license, and one year of clinical experience providing direct patient care within the last five years. Teaching experience at University level preferred for all positions.
