You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Foster City, CAThe student responds well to: Sensory-based learning tools (e.g., Playdough, music via speakers) Interactive, hands-on educational activities Calm, patient adult guidance with consistent routines and gentle redirection Visual supports and structured environments that reduce ambiguityDetails:In-Person Tutoring in Foster City, CASchedule: 1-2 sessions a week for 2-3 hour sessions (TBD) Pay rate is between $25 and $35Ideal Candidate: Minimum 2–3 years of experience working with neurodivergent learners or students with IEPs Background in special education, speech/language development, ABA, or related field Deep understanding of Autism, ADHD, and emotional regulation strategies Ability to individualize instruction using visual, tactile, and auditory modalities Strong observational and communication skills to interpret student needs and progress Reliable, empathetic, and flexible in approach Experience conducting informal assessments and adapting curriculum accordinglyResponsibilities:Deliver foundational instruction in early literacy and math, aligned with the student's developmental level and learning profile. Support development of functional communication skills to help the student better identify and express physical discomfort, emotional distress, and needs. Integrate Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) strategies to promote emotional regulation and interpersonal awareness. Incorporate visual aids, simplified language, hands-on materials, and consistent routines to enhance comprehension and engagement. Provide frequent movement breaks and sensory-friendly activities to support attention and reduce overstimulation. Respond to nonverbal communication cues and offer meaningful choices to foster autonomy and reduce frustration. Model and support self-regulation strategies during challenging or unstructured moments. Conduct an initial informal assessment to guide instructional planning and individualized goals.Why Tutor Me Education?
