Patient Care Associate (CNA)| Ortho-Urology| Per diem-(3294606) Description The Opportunity: Patient Care Associate - Orthopedic and Urology Unit- Ellison 6 Why This Role Is Important? Ellison 6 is a 36-bed unit with the clinical specialty being orthopedics and urology. The population of patients includes total joint replacements, trauma, and orthopedic oncology. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), the Patient Care Associate (PCA) assists the multi-disciplinary healthcare team in clinical support functions to promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment. Ellison 6 is seeking a full-time PCA, rotating day/evening shifts. There is a weekend and holiday shift requirement. Schedule Day (7a-3p, 7a-7p), Evenings (3-11pm) Per-diem Rotating holiday and weekend requirement What are we looking for? We are seeking a positive, collaborative PCA who will be an integral part of the patient care team. This person will assist the patient in basic activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, walking, drain care, support with meals, blood draws and EKGs. What do we have to offer? Preferred: Licensed, certified, or enrolled student in a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, or EMT accredited program, at the time of hire or enrolled in a Nursing, Pre-Med, PA undergraduate program with at least one semester of patient care rotations completed at time of hire .
