Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Contract Assignment Location: Gettysburg, PAShift: Overnight (Shift 3) Hours: 23:00 – 07:30 Position Summary The Licensed Practical Nurse will provide direct nursing care in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment. This role supports overnight operations and requires an LPN capable of working independently while ensuring quality patient care. Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to residents during overnight hours. Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policies. Monitor resident conditions, perform assessments, and document all findings accurately. Assist with wound care, vital signs, and routine nursing procedures. Coordinate care with CNAs and other nursing staff to ensure resident needs are met. Respond promptly to resident requests, changes in condition, and overnight emergencies. Maintain accurate documentation in electronic or paper charting systems. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, infection control standards, and regulatory guidelines. Communicate effectively with incoming/outgoing shift staff during handoff reports. Work every other weekend as part of the required schedule. Requirements Active LPN license (state-eligible). Previous experience in LTC/SNF preferred. Ability to work overnight shifts independently. Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
