We are currently seeking a talented individual to become a Food Runner. An individual could be successful if they possess the following.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Food Runner responsibilities include setting tables, serving food orders and removing used dishes and utensils. Ultimately, you will ensure our guests have a high-quality dining experience by serving their food in a timely and accurate manner. Always presents a friendly and professional image at Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort. The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:Provide excellent guest service.Clean up spilled food, drink and broken dishes, and remove empty bottles and trash.Carry food, dishes, trays, and silverware from kitchens and supply departments to serving counters.Carry trays from tables and booths with soiled dishes, glassware, and silverware to kitchen and dishwasher.Fill beverage and ice dispensers.Maintain adequate supplies of items such as clean linens, silverware, glassware, dishes, and trays.Replenish supplies of food and equipment at steam tables and service bars.Scrape and stack dirty dishes, and carry dishes and other tableware to kitchens for cleaning.Stocks all areas of the venue.Cleans, resets and maintains tables.Maintains all equipment.Assures F&B areas are maintained in accordance with company standards, as well as all applicable regulations.Remains up-to-date on property events and hours of operationMay be assigned to various venues throughout the property depending on business needs.Cooperates and communicates with all fellow team members, always exhibiting mutual respect and consistently projecting a positive, helpful image/attitude.Makes efforts to keep informed of company information and communications by participating in department meetings, huddles and reviewing property bulletin boards, digital signage, and company newsletter.Assists other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department.Upholds a Four Diamond & Four-Star service modelMaintains an attitude & philosophy consistent with the company Core Values and Standards of Behavior with internal & external guestsPunctual attendance requiredAbility to work required overtime.Excellent guest service and communication skillsAbility to read, write and communicate effectively in EnglishSuperior attention to detail and accuracyTroubleshooting and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to meet strict deadlinesAbility to multi-task and remain organizedMust be able to maintain strict confidentiality, discreetness and tact at all timesAbility to deal effectively and interact well with team members and guestsAbility to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful mannerAbility to adjust quickly to changing conditions.Ability to seek guidance when unsureAbility to work with interruptions and/or distractionsOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
