This contract position is for a full-time special education teacher at an elementary school, running from November 17, 2025, through May 22, 2026. The role is onsite and based in Camden, SC, focusing on supporting students with developmental delays and mild mental disabilities.Key responsibilities include managing behavior in the classroom effectively and providing specialized instruction within a Mildly Mentally Disabled (MIMD) classroom for grades 3-5. The classroom typically has around 10 students and includes collaboration with a paraprofessional. Monthly meetings with special education program directors and participation in professional learning communities (PLCs) with general education teachers twice a week are required to ensure comprehensive student support and curriculum alignment.
