We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor, that is safety, quality, and compliance conscious and willing to learn and grow with the business. This is a role where you will work in a TEAM environment. SUMMARY OF POSITION The position is accountable for achieving maximum utilization of personnel, supplies, and techniques to provide scheduled, uninterrupted services for the plant. The incumbent reports to the Maintenance Manager. Safety must be placed first and foremost above all other aspects of the position. The incumbent will spend a great deal of time on the shop floor solving problems, interpreting drawings, enforcing safety regulations, integrating and coordinating the work effort. Work efficiency and quality are maintained by work evaluations, initial training, and effective job distribution. The maintenance department is responsible for keeping all plant facilities, equipment, tools, and grounds in their best possible condition. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Repair of all inoperative production equipment. The execution of all preventative maintenance programs for production equipment. The overhaul and rebuilding of the equipment. The maintenance of the plant grounds and inspection of the fire equipment. Effectively direct the subordinates in the execution of the above duties. Initiate work orders from MMS, or when notified of issues that need repair. Implements maintenance projects requested and coordinates with projects developed and delegated by engineering personnel to ensure that all are properly done on a timely basis. Maintain production output through control coordination and supervision of normal repairs and maintenance to achieve minimum equipment downtime. Generates required paperwork accurately and timely transmits and coordinates shift work carry over and advises Maintenance Manager of shift activity. Administers a Preventative/Predictive Maintenance program on all plant equipment to ensure maximum equipment reliability. Creates new or modifies existing maintenance procedures to provide a machine specific PM/PdM program. Creates followup work orders for any deficiencies found and verifies that ll repair work is completed to CEM specification. Participate in and actively supports Quality projects and activities and Responsible Care initiatives to ensure that the Company achieves its goals. SKILLS/SPECIFICATIONS Work in a fast paced and changing environment. Posses excellent troubleshooting fault analysis and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings, schematics and diagrams of electrical components/systems and installing, troubleshooting, and repairing these systems. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma. An associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred but will consider proven work experience in lieu of a degree. Minimum of one (1) year of leadership experience in an industrial maintenance environment or equivalent. 5-7 years’ experience in the maintenance field or related areas. Available to be on-call after business hours and respond to emergency situations as necessary. Working knowledge of overhead cranes up to 45T is beneficial. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other software such as MMS. Capable of working any shift with little notice.
