Seattle, United States Eastlake Performance Full time

Are you a self-starter that enjoys working autonomously without micro-management? We are looking for trainers with strong work ethic that enjoy working with athletes and everything in-between. We don't require any sales or quotas, as we procure clients by passive marketing and social media cannels so our trainers can put their focus on clients.Eastlake Performance is an athletically inspired training gym located in South Lake Union. We have a diverse client population, but the majority come from an athletic background. Our clients are assessed on movement mechanics, exertion, and progress during each session, so that we can maintain a linear progression that is both challenging and obtainable. We prefer applicants who have at least 1-year of personal training experience and hold a CSCS or willing to pursue one in the future.Your responsibilities:Maintaining Client appointments:Punctuality and communication are extremely important in this “service business”, we advise that you arrive early and be fully prepared for each session. If you can’t make a session for any reason and unable to find someone to cover, it is important that you contact each client individually, so they can reschedule their appointment accordingly.Social Media Marketing:Take 1-2 exercise videos of clients and provide a written description of the programming so that we continue to foster a learning environment for the public.Cleaning:Keep facilities clean and wipe down equipment after personal/client use.Help out with Wash/Dry/Folding of clients and cleaning towels.Contribute to posted cleaning list (vacuuming, sanitizing floors, bathrooms, kitchen, shower, and equipment).Keep all food in the office/kitchen/front desk and be cognizant of any crumbs or spills on the gym floor. No open food or drink containers on the gym floor except water. These maintenance items help prevent accidents and events of spillage that eat into client workout time, also it is hard for clients to focus if someone is eating in front of themAppearance/Dress-code:Be clean, well-put-together, and void of strong perfumes or colognes. We have a community of smell-sensitive clients that we try to keep happy. If you have an Eastlake Performance shirt, please wear it as often as possible.Dress for success. "Look good, feel good, train good."Training Protocol:Follow the basic structure of our workouts - Dynamic W/U, Pillar Stability, Workout Circuit/s:All client workouts are uploaded into Trainerize so all trainers and clients can review them at anytime. This is especially important in cases of unforeseen sickness or absences.Exercises should be chosen to challenge clients every session, and should have creativity and purpose.Clients need to be closely monitored at all times, form needs to be corrected if there is a mechanical error that could result in injury. The Trainerize app also connects to smart devices and adds extra insight and information on caloric input/output and physiological progress while they are training with Eastlake Performance.Unless a client’s goal is stagnation/maintenance, we should always progress in each session. Any client requesting maintenance should also be properly assessed for mobility and ROM restrictions so we can focus on those biomechanical defaults during sessions in addition to the workout.Provided by Eastlake Performance:Direct Deposit Through Intuit Payroll Service.Gym Facility and all necessary equipment to provide clients with the training they need.Bookkeeping, scheduling software, trainerize app for client engagement and tracking.Continuing Education for full-time employees to keep credentials current.Desired Qualifications:Have a personal training certification from an accredited agency.4-year degree in a fitness-related major.CPR/AED certified or can be completed before the start date.Understanding of the physiology and biomechanics of exercises and being able to explain them effectively. The athletic background is preferred, but not mandatory for the right candidate.Good communication and reliability are a mustJob Duties Include:Detailed programming per the individual's needs and skill set.Keeping the facility clean and organized.Coordinating schedules with clients and maintaining a proper channel of communication.Punctuality and reliability (being prepared before the client arrives).Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.Pay:Depending on experience and accreditations, you'll start between $22.50 and $45, and pay will be reviewed during your 90-day probationary period. If you have a CSCS certification, you will start at $27.50/hour with the opportunity to receive $30.00/hour after the first 90-days of employment. About Eastlake Performance: Eastlake Performance is a thriving athletic training studio that provides clients with a winning edge in their respective sports or individual goals. Each client is taken through a comprehensive assessment and continually tracked on individual progress. Our goal is to get you moving, lifting, breathing, and living easier. Who We Are We are a team of college-educated and CSCS Certified trainers. All trainers are also required to hold a current AED/CPR certification in case our exercises leave you breathless. What We Do We clean up improper muscular imbalances and movement patters. We listen to our clients goals, and build dynamic individual programs based on your timelines and personal skill levels. We have worked with athletes of all ages in football, basketball, baseball, hockey, polo, pickleball, tennis, swimming, fencing, ultra marathon runners, volleyball, and figure skating. What You Can Expect Beyond our training, we do our best to create a warm and welcoming environment at our gym. You will have an opportunity to train with each trainer, so you can cross-train with different specialties. If you prefer working with a specific trainer, we can accommodate the one-trainer model as well.
