Sr Software Engineer

Job Description Scientific Research Corporation (SRC) is searching for a Sr. Software Engineer to lead and perform software engineering production across the complete Development, Security, and Operations (DevSecOps) lifecycle of a project. Project tasking includes planning, design, concept of operations development, requirements management, risk management, software production, systems integration, testing, configuration management, quality assurance, and installation of software and hardware. Work will be performed at the customer site in San Diego, CA. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensures software design documentation and architectural diagrams are developed and updated throughout project lifecycle in accordance with contract requirements Coordinates with division-level software leadership, program management, and product owners to ensure software meets contractual requirements Leads and performs engineering requirements for systems and software at different stages in respective life cycle Collaborates with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain software applications Requirements MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Systems Engineering Ten+ years of experience in software development 5+ years of experience in: Leading teams of software developersDeploying and managing virtual machines in VMware ESXi Writing code in Java, JavaScript, and C++ Experience with Agile scrum methodologies and practices Active DoD TS/SCI clearance DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS: Experience with any or all of the following: Developing and/or reviewing software design documentation packages and architectural diagrams, Software Development Plan (SDP)Using Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence)CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOpsUnified Modeling Language (UML) diagramsFamiliarity with DISA Application Development STIGs and/or RMF process SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE GOVERNMENT.
