OverviewTriaplex, Inc. (A wholly owned subsidiary of VTG) is seeking a Hardware Engineer to join our SIGINT team. The successful candidate will work on-site working with RF schematics, along with testing and installing hardware. What will you do?Responsibilities:Prepare functional requirements and specifications for hardware acquisitionsAnalyze hardware specifications and system/subsystem requirements to conceive and document a practical design for hardware components to include servers, network devices, transmission media, storage devices, user interface devices, and special processorsEnsure that problems with operational hardware have been properly identified and solutions will satisfy the user’s requirementsAssist with preparing installation guides, field test procedures, and troubleshooting guidesConduct site surveys; assesses and documents current site network configuration and site-unique requirementsDevelop hardware installation schedules based upon set-up, integration, and test timelinesTrain site personnel in proper use of hardwareRecommend specifications for hardware acquisitionsPrepare engineering plans and site installation Technical Design PackagesPrepare drawings documenting as-built configurations at each sitePrepare site installation and test reportsConfigure computers, communications devices and peripheral equipmentPrepare installation guides, field test procedures, and troubleshooting guidesOrganize and directs hardware installations across multiple sitesDesign and verify test haAnalyze and recommend hardware specifications for project-unique or modified commercial hardwareAssist with building simulations of proposed systems and provides hardware throughput analyses to system engineersPrepare Mean-Time-Between-Failure and Mean-Time-To-Repair analysesAnalyze operational data to identify choke points, failure modes, and other data for design or maintainability improvementss Do you have what it takes?Required QualificationsActive and Current TS/SCI with Poly; Poly Date within the last seven (7) yearsRequired Skills:-- Technician that has experience with wiring RF systems based on a schematic-- Familiar with hardware installation-- Familiar with electronic test equipment and electronic system trouble-shooting-- Ten (10) years of experience as a HE analyzing complex hardware systems for SIGINT solutions is required.-- Bachelor’s degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional hardware engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
