Who we are looking for Corporate Audit’s Data and Analytics Team is vital to Corporate Audit and is the key enabler for our business to deliver data and risk and assurance insights to the Audit Department and Audit Stakeholders. We’re driving Corporate Audit’s digital transformation and expanding business capabilities using industry best practices and advanced technologies such as cloud, artificial intelligence, robotics, and visualizations. We are looking for top technical talent to join our team and deliver creative technology solutions that help us become an end-to-end, next-generation Corporate Audit function.The Senior Data Visualization Expert is a hands-on role and will design and develop multiple solutions within the Data and Analytics team. The individual will be required to have a proven track record of delivery of advanced visualization solutions in support of multiple, simultaneous initiatives that span multiple disciplines and business lines. This individual should have the ability to quickly get a solid understanding of existing and future State Street business, application and infrastructure environment and be able to investigate and apply new methods of data analysis and visualizations. Our auditors interact and communicate regularly with executive management and have tremendous insight into all parts of the company’s daily operations.Join us if making your mark in the financial services industry from day one is a challenge you are up forYour new roleWithin Corporate Audit, our Data and Analytics Team collaborates with our stakeholders to manage project delivery and lead teams of data analytics resources in all aspects of design and delivery of information solutions. Data Analytics team is embedded into the audit function and assists in leveraging data as an asset throughout the audit lifecycle.As a Corporate Audit Data Visualization Expert, you will:Determine the visualization requirements, including understanding data transformation, creating wireframes and making interactive Proofs-of-Concept (PoC’s) for Continuous Risk Monitoring and key performance/risk indicators for Corporate Audit department.Create impactful metrics, innovative data driven storyline, compelling dashboards/presentations to achieve overall goal of the analysis, and plan most appropriate type of visual techniques to deliver actionable insights.Ensure clear and concise communication of design decisions to business teams and deliver the product with highest quality within mutually agreed timelines.Leverage visualization best practices; act as a subject matter expert on data visualization to Data Analytics and Innovation Team and maintain industry leading dashboard design standards.Configure and maintain multiple data source connections in Tableau across a variety of data sources including, but not limited to Databricks, AWS, SQL, Oracle, Hadoop, Tableau Server.What qualifications and skills we valueExperience and education:Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of proven experience creating solutions using Tableau is required.Experience and ability to query and acquire data with SQL in an RDBMS or big data environment is required.Relevant work experience at a financial services company and/or experience working in Risk/Control function is a plus.Tableau Server experience including server setup and maintenance is a plus.Skills and competencies: Advanced/Expert Tableau is required.Advanced SQL and Python scripting is required.Experience with cloud based analytic platforms such as AWS, Databricks, Azure, Snowflake is a plus.Exposure to Artificial Intelligence and automation such as text mining, machine learning is a plus.Strong curious, analytical mindset, project management skills, ability to influence cross-functionally in a rapidly evolving business environment while managing multiple / concurrent projects.Advanced command of English; strong written and verbal communication, presentation and technical writing skills.About State Street: What we do.
