Job Details Description LEAD TEACHER 3K EXTENDED DAY Develop schemes of work and lesson plans. Plan and implement individual educational plans for children, which supports their development socially, intellectually, linguistically, physically, and emotionally in a manner appropriate to their age and stage of development Provide early learning experiences in social-emotional development, literacy, language, mathematics, sciences, social studies, physical education, fine arts, foreign language, and other subject matter suited to the needs of children. Develop and maintain a developmentally appropriate classroom environment favorable to the development and personal growth of children. Prepare classroom a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities. Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment. Use relevant technology to support instruction. Observe and evaluate student's performance and development. Enter and maintain classroom and child data. Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students. Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws, district policies and school regulations. Regularly meet with classroom teacher and the Education director to review classroom and child data, develop action plans, and support goal achievement through active collaboration. Participate in department and school meetings, parent meetings. Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs. Keep up to date with developments in subject area, teaching resources and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities Work with the inter-disciplinary team in the provision of all job duties. Promote and support the environment of positive behavior support. Promote pro-social behaviors and interactions between student and staff. Support and participate in behavior management program. Attend in-service training sessions, staff meetings and seminars as needed. Serve as a role model for students, maintaining values such as integrity, respect for self and all others, dignity, self-control and respect. Participate in reflective supervision with Education Director. Implement all programming requirements in adherence to all performance outcome standards as prescribed by the multiple funding and model requirements. Maintain a safe and healthy classroom environment; conduct daily health and environment checks; ensure that classroom equipment, furniture, materials, and supplies are properly maintained and stored. Perform all other duties as assigned.
