Offering the technology transformations, strategy, and mission services needed to get the job done.We are currently seeking a Software Developer to join our FMDS team. In this role you will be a change agent by working on the TFM2 contract. TFM2 provides modernization and life cycle support of Information Technology infrastructure that host national implementation of the FAA's Traffic Flow Management (TFM) functionality. It also focuses on long term engineering services and the development of new functional enhancements that increase the capability of Traffic Flow Management.Responsibilities Include:Design Java EE/Jakarta EE software using object-oriented design patternsDesign, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems that contain algorithmic and mathematical solutions.Develop applications to solve highly complex technical challengesDevelop test harnesses to support software testingProvide software support for a real-time air traffic management systemDebug software problems and provide solutionsDevelop software requirementsDocument verification and validation of solution sets and protocolsImprove operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and proceduresEnsure compliance with software standardsEducation:Bachelor’s degree( in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field) + 10 yrs. related experience Qualifications:Extensive experience using Java EE/Jakarta EEExperience implementing GUIs with SwingExperience with ORM frameworks (Eclipselink, Hibernate)Experience using C/C++Experience implementing various software life cycles including Agile/ScrumExperience with Ansible and/or containerization/virtualization desired (ex: Docker, Podman, Skopeo, Buildah, Kubernetes, Openshift)Strong Linux knowledge/experienceExtensive knowledge of SQL, XML JSON, YAML, and experience with relational databasesDemonstrated strength in solving complex problemsCloud experience/certifications a plusStrong interpersonal and collaboration skillsGDIT IS YOUR PLACE:401K with company matchComprehensive health and wellness packagesInternal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your careerProfessional growth opportunities including paid education and certificationsCutting-edge technology you can learn fromRest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays The likely salary range for this position is $92,331 - $154,211. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
