Endoscopy Technician Full Time Northfield Surgical Center of West Orange, N.J.is an outpatient endoscopic facility specializing in colon cancer screening and gastroenterology. Our center has been designed to provide the ultimate in medical technology and quality, along with efficiency and convenience for the patient and family. Our mission is to provide a coordinated and safe delivery of care for the endoscopy patient. We strive to provide courteous and professional service to all our clients. In collaboration with the perioperative registered nurse, the surgical technician will function as a member of the team to organize and administer individualizes age specific care to patients, maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes, and ensure patient s physiologic responses to surgery are as expected in the surgical suite and across the perioperative division We are currently searching for a GI Technician for a FULL TIME POSITION to work Monday – Friday (and Saturdays as needed) who can work cooperatively with staff and physicians and perform a variety of tasks. Major responsibilities include: Assisting physician's during endoscopy procedures. Prepares room pre and post procedure. Candidate will perform High Level Disinfection while maintaining infection control standards. Maintains inventory control and stocking of rooms. changing over rooms; performing housekeeping duties, Spanish speaking a big pus. You must possess a HS school diploma/GED and a BLS certification. Previous experience is a must. Reprocessing scopes certification a big plus. We are an equal opportunity employer
