Home Instead provides a variety of non-medical services that allow aging adults to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.Duties include, but are not limited to:Companionship and conversationLight housekeeping tasks and meal preparationMedication and appointment remindersAssistance with grooming and bathingAssistance with toileting and incontinence issuesAlzheimer’s CarePrior caregiving experience is preferred but not required.Prior to working for our clients, all Home Instead Certified Home Health Aides will go through specific training designed by Home Instead and will receive an in-house certification in Personal Care tasks. These tasks include demonstrating ability to assist our clients with grooming, bathing, continence care, and mobility. After training, our Certified Home Health Aides will feel confident going into the client’s home and helping to support their emotional, physical and mental wellbeing.Requirements to be a Home Instead Certified Home Health Aide are:Ability to treat and care for aging adults and their property with dignity and respectAbility to communicate with clients in a friendly and compassionate mannerDemonstrated reliability and trustworthinessComplete a criminal background check, DMV check, and drug screenPossess a valid driver’s license and valid auto insurance, if driving clientsMust be available to work a schedule of 15-40 hours per weekPossess a current HHA license in New JerseyWe have a variety of shifts available, both hourly and live-in. Extra pay for weekends. And because we care for our Certified Home Health Aides as much as we care for our clients, we provide 24/7 support and offer competitive pay and benefits.Home Instead.
