Role also manages the resolution of the clear-to-build reports, future material requirement reports and customer backorders. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals to perform a variety of tasks.What you’ll doWorks closely with the Purchasing, Planning, and Logistics TeamsBe a strong team player with ability to work effectively on cross-functional projectsParticipate in supplier quality activities such as non-conformance and corrective action completionReview purchase request for material via MRP (Oracle) or manual purchase requisitionExpedite Purchase orders via MRP, Kanban, and demandMonitor purchase orders to maintain delivery schedulesReceive and enter supplier acknowledgment informationPart quote/RFQ ProcessPart setup as necessaryMust be able to expedite critical components and overdue purchase ordersResolve supplier problems associated with over shipments, invoicing issues, obsolete, rework and scrap materialMust be able to develop excellent working relationship with both internal and external customers as well as suppliersMaintain supplier relationships while continually achieving the highest level of quality materialReview, analyze, and interpret various reportsModerate technical understanding of assigned commoditiesAll other duties as assignedKey Job TasksProcurementExpediting responsibility for Terex Utilities partsAbility to maintain Kanban’s and/or issuing PO and utilize MRP systems to manage purchase transactionsMaterial ManagementMaintain inventory levels for area of responsibilityCost ReductionGiven direction, execute initiatives to reduce costWhat you’ll bringBasic QualificationsHS Diploma or GED2+ years’ experience in a purchasing, buyer, or material planner rolePreferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in procurement, supply chain, business, operationsMRP system experience is highly preferredEngineer to order environment and low volume/high mix purchasing experience, including MRO and production materials purchasing experienceProject Management experienceLean experience or knowledge is a plusProficient computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)Ability to read engineering printsAbility to interface with company and supplier senior managementTechnical purchasing and out-sourcing skillsStrong negotiating skillsFamiliar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the procurement fieldRelies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals to perform a variety of tasksAbility to research and identify new suppliersSpecific CompetenciesAbility to multitask, prioritize work, and work closely with other departmentsAbility to work in a fast paced and demanding environmentEffectively communicate with all team membersFunction as a team member and contribute to group goals while maintaining a positive attitudeMaintain the integrity of confidential business and product informationContinuously search for new and better ways of doing things; challenges the status quo and sets stretch goals; works across boundaries to achieve common goals; strives to continuously improve oneselfDemonstrate excellent leadership skillsOffer assistance and helps others where needed, backs up othersWillingness to be flexible to learn new skills based on the need of the companyWork independently with minimum supervision in a responsible mannerThe compensation range for this position is $25.00-$30.00 per hour.
