Key Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans to optimize cost, quality, and delivery of materials. Source, evaluate, and manage a diverse supplier base, fostering strong vendor relationships and performance. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable conditions. Collaborate with production and planning teams to ensure timely procurement of raw materials and components, preventing stockouts. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes and supplier performance. Analyze market trends and material availability to mitigate supply chain risks and inform purchasing decisions. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards for all purchased goods. Recommended Qualifications 5+ years of progressive experience in purchasing or procurement management within a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and contract management. Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for purchasing, inventory, and supply chain operations. Proven ability to drive cost reduction initiatives and optimize supply chain efficiency. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Bonus Qualifications Experience with advanced ERP/MRP system modules (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle SCM) or system implementation. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Proven experience in international sourcing and managing global supply chains, including customs and logistics.
