JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: AV Engineer IILocation: Nashville, TN.Job Type: Full-TimeJob Summary: We are seeking a skilled AV Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing and configuring conference room hardware, troubleshooting equipment and application issues for end users, and providing support for meetings and events. The AV Technician will play a critical role in ensuring our conference rooms and event spaces are equipped with the necessary audio-visual technology and operate smoothly.Key Responsibilities:Installation and Configuration:Install, configure, and maintain audio-visual equipment in conference rooms and event spaces, including projectors, monitors, speakers, microphones, and video conferencing systems.Set up and test video conferencing platforms (., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Cisco WebEx) to ensure seamless integration with hardware.Perform regular inspections and maintenance of AV equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.Troubleshooting:Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues related to AV equipment and applications.Provide prompt technical support to end users experiencing AV issues during meetings and events.Work with IT and other technical teams to address network or system issues affecting AV performance.Support for Meetings and Events:Assist in the planning, setup, and execution of AV requirements for internal and external meetings, webinars, and events.Operate AV equipment during events to ensure high-quality audio and video output.Provide on-site and remote support to ensure smooth operation of AV systems during live events.Documentation and Training:Create and maintain detailed documentation of AV installations, configurations, and standard operating procedures.Conduct training sessions for employees on the use of AV equipment and video conferencing tools.Develop user guides and troubleshooting tips for common AV issues.Continuous Improvement:Stay updated with the latest AV technology trends and advancements.Recommend upgrades and improvements to enhance the AV capabilities of the organization.Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source and evaluate new AV products.Qualifications:Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Audio-Visual Technology, or a related field.Proven experience as an AV Technician or similar role.Proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting AV equipment and software.Familiarity with video conferencing platforms (., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Cisco WebEx).Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Flexibility to work outside regular business hours when necessary.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and move AV equipment (up to 50 lbs).Comfortable working at heights using ladders or lifts.Ability to work in various environments, including office spaces, conference rooms, and event venues.
