$5,000 Sign On Bonus Purpose of Job This position is responsible for performing a variety of patient care related activities including assisting the providers. Duties include performing a variety of patient care activities including rooming patients, administration of medications and vaccines, specimen collection for diagnostic labs, completing prior authorizations for medication and diagnostic procedures, and patient care coordination.  Job Functions When performing nursing support functions Escorts patients to examination room and obtains vitals and documents in EMRAdministers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with clinic policies and scope of certification/licensurePrepares equipment and assists providers during examination, testing and treatment of patientsPerforms room turn over in patient rooms between cases and at the end of dayAssists in arranging referrals/prior authorizations as necessaryAssists with patient educationPerforms other duties as assigned Minimum Education/Work Experience/License/Certifications Graduation from Medical Assisting program or School of Practical NursingCurrent LPN Licensure or current Medical Assistant Current CPR certification Knowledge/Skills/ Abilities Ability to multi-taskAbility to serve patients in a friendly and efficient mannerKnowledge of basic computer functions and Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to work autonomously and as a teamCapable of making independent decisions with the use of good critical thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to respond appropriately to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populationsAbility to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above Preferred Qualifications EMR experience Link to Employee Health Physical Demands Compensation Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation such as:  the requirements of the position, experience, education, knowledge, and skills along with location and internal equity.  Pay listed does not include any shift, weekend, or other differentials.
