Want to make a difference in a young person's life?  This is a position that is very rewarding in training and mentoring at risk youth.Make more than a Living, Make a DifferenceOur Benefits: 9 days of Vacation in the first year of serviceMinimum of 11 Paid HolidaysPaid Sick LeaveRetirement savings plan with employer match up to 5%Workers CompensationAD&D InsurancePublic Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Eligible EmployerService Contract Act (SCA) PositionHourly Range:  $17.20 to $18.30 Duties and Responsibilities: The Property & Inventory Clerk reports to the Property Supervisor and is an hourly, non-exempt position.The Property & Inventory Clerk is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of the property/inventory control functions.Ensures that center equipment and supplies are ordered, received, and distributed.The Property & Inventory Clerk posts and maintains shipping, receiving, inventory records and documents in accordance with center and DOL regulations.Arranges for disposition of excess materials in accordance with procedures as stated in the Property Handbook.Monitors the procurement of supplies, materials and equipment for General Services Administration, self-service store, and other vendors.Monitors maintenance of accurate records on the physical location of all center property.Attends required staff training sessions.Qualifications:  High School graduate or equivalent.Two years of experience in property/inventory control preferred.Valid State driver’s license in the state of employment with acceptable driving record preferred.Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.Additional Requirements: Sound working knowledge of property/inventory control procedures. Knowledge of Government property management requirements and procedures desired. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Strong organizational skills. Ability to operate a personal computer. Ability to effectively relate to trainee population. Position requires an ability to operate forklift, pallet jack, hand trucks and flatbed trucks.
