Therapist Job Description:Established in 1948, The Mission of ASCEND Mental Wellness is to encourage and assist individuals in discovering pathways to their optimal mental health and wellness, while supporting hope and awareness of well-being in our community.Caleo Counseling Services, the outpatient clinic of ASCEND, is seeking a Mental Health Therapist to work with a diverse mental health population, including adults and children. LMSW, LCSW, LMHC and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists will be considered. Supervision is given at all levels.ASCEND offers a comprehensive benefit package including healthcare benefits, retirement plan enrollment, and paid time off including 11 holidays, 2 floating holidays, vacation, personal and sick time. Salary based on qualifications.A $2,000 sign-on bonus is available for this position.Along with offering competitive salaries there is Student Loan Forgiveness is available for certain credentials. We offer flexible, family friendly environment with a very supportive staff. Opportunities are available for tele mental health work from home, as well as working out of satellite locations with stipends.Therapist Qualifications:Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) requiredProficient in behavioral therapy and applied behavior analysisStrong patient care and assessment skillsKnowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentationExperience in psychotherapy and crisis interventionFamiliarity with working with children and families, as well as individuals with developmental disabilitiesAbility to provide mental health counseling and support for PTSD careTherapist Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Provide psycho-social assessments including diagnosis goal focused treatment planning and referral for psychiatric evaluation and medication management when indicated.Provide designated services with clients in approved community based setting(s).Provide therapeutic intervention on an ongoing basis with clients.Maintain a caseload of clients, complying with all state/federal regulations regarding documentation and billing.Collaboration and coordination of treatment with other service providers in community.Provide five day follow up hospital discharges with a timely appointment, which includes all aspects of assessment and treatment.Participate in weekly supervision and team meetings, as well as engage in ongoing continuing educations.ASCEND Mental Wellness provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.This applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation and training.
