The Manager Assistant trainee program is designed to prepare high potential employees in the areas of people and operations management.Under the guidance of an experienced manager, MAs will participate in the critical business areas of employees, customers and financials.JOB DUTIESPeopleUnder the guidance of an experienced manager, Mas will participate in all employee-related management functions including interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, and motivating as well as performance management, conflict resolution, and the administration of human resources policies and initiatives.By gaining practical experience in each of these areas, MAs will develop people and management skills to prepare them for future management roles. MAs are expected to serve as a role model for customer service and set the pace for service excellence for all employees.OperationsMAs will learn all operational procedures within the theater, and will train, supervise and coach others on these same operational procedures. Additional responsibilities will include completing banking transactions, daily paperwork, and company reports.EDDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE• Full-service restaurant background• SERV Safe & Food Handler’s certification required• Availability to work during holidays, nights, and weekends with increased hours during peak times• The MA position requires standing, walking, lifting, twisting, bending and traversing stairs on a frequent basisSKILLS• Professional appearance with a positive, can-do attitude• Strong written and verbal communication skills• High guest satisfaction expectations and focus• Resourceful problem-solving skills• Self-motivated and results driven• Strong organizational and time management skills WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
