Centra Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher (SPED) that is certified in the state of practice to work in a school setting. This is a contract, full time position.Duties and Responsibilities Include:Conduct formal and informal assessments of educational programs and behavior interventions.Implement and adhere to IFSP/IEP/Student Program.Prepare for and attend all pertinent pre IEP and IEP conferencesAdminister curriculum-based and standardized assessmentsDifferentiate learning based on the needs of individual students and IEP goalsWhen required, implement behavior management plans and relevant data collection procedures. Supervise Teaching Assistants/Aides in the implementation of educational programs and behavior intervention plansEnsure health, safety & welfare of studentsMeet with parents to provide overview of student progressRequirements include:NYS Certified Special Education Teacher (Internship Certificate a minimum)Experience with ASD and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies preferredCandidates need to have the disabilities Birth-2 certificationCannot have worked with the DOE within 1 yearAbout Centra:Centra Healthcare`s mission is to provide unparalleled service enabling healthcare professionals to concentrate on caring for America.
