By handling your laundry, we save students up to 100 hours each school year, giving them more time to focus on what matters most: education, sports, and cultural activities.The School Route Driver will be responsible for a delivery route and will play a key role in servicing and maintaining relationships at world-class institutions daily. This position involves loading and unloading delivery trucks, ensuring accurate tracking, and providing excellent service. Driver Helpers may assist the driver in these responsibilities, supporting efficient and timely route completion. Routes may change based on the needs of the company and its customers.Key Responsibilities:Pick up and deliver laundry to designated locations on schedule.Interact professionally with external school-specific customers, including CFOs, Business Managers, Infirmaries, Facilities, and Kitchens.Ensure all customer interactions are positive, maintaining the company's reputation for excellent service.Promote sales and offer new products and services wherever possible to maximize revenue.Drive for extended periods, picking up and delivering products to customers.Track customer products using well-established processes/procedures.Communicate and work well with internal departments (Plant) as needed.Ensure that the delivery vehicle is in good operating condition and report service needs to a supervisor and/or General Manager.Assist in general warehouse duties when the delivery route is complete.No nights or weekends are part of our normal schedule.Assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles, organizing laundry carts, and ensuring items are secured properly.Support the driver in navigating delivery routes, preparing stops, and ensuring accuracy of deliveries and pickups.Provide additional help in handling heavier loads, moving items safely, and staging deliveries at customer locations.Ensure the work area and vehicle remain clean, organized, and safe at all times.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Valid driver's license.Clean driving record.Current DOT card (Department of Transportation certification).Must be able to pass a background check.Able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen, as applicable.Safely drive delivery trucks and perform manual labor in all types of weather.Use navigation tools such as GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.Plan and follow delivery routes and ability to prioritize, organize work, and manage time effectively.Maintain basic logs and records.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the highest degree of professionalism.Knowledge and experience in customer service, with a sense of urgency and great attention to detail.A positive attitude and flexibility are required.Ability to handle and deliver laundry efficiently.Work unsupervised.Reading and writing English is essential for this position.Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.Ability to lift and move heavy loads safely and efficiently.Willingness to assist the driver in all aspects of route completion.Must be able to pass a background check.Able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen, as applicable.
