Installation Tooling Assembler

JOB SUMMARY:
Assembles, tests, and packages installation toolingper job or sales order requirement. Maintains required installation tooling component inventory levels.Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Competencies:
Reads and interprets documents (blue prints, drawing,or manufacturing work orders), to ascertain what components and materials arenecessary to assemble installation tooling.
Assembles installation tooling.
Inspects components prior to assembly visually and byusing measuring devices, such as, calipers and various other inspection gauges.
Conducts performance tests on assembled installationtooling to ensure product is within customer and/or company specificationrequirements.
Packages assembled tooling for shipment to customer,as needed.
Sets up and operates drill press for the manufactureof ancillary installation tooling components. Makes all adjustments necessary to produce parts of acceptable quality.
Maintains and monitors installation tooling componentinventory. Initiates work orders forcomponents as required to ensure inventory levels are at specifiedrequirements.
Performs cycle counting.
Meets and maintains all productivity levels andquality requirements to support departmental goals and schedules.
Performs record keeping, data entry, housekeeping,and follows safety regulations.
Responsible for the setup and operation of the Mikron LX-24 machiningsystem for the purpose of production of the NAS1900 aluminum product.
Mikron Technician will perform all machine adjustments and toolingchanges required to properly setup the machine for production of the AluminumNAS1900 product.
Mikron Technician will perform maintenance of the Mikron LX-24 includingdaily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance.
Mikron Technician is also responsible for the filtration system cleaningand filtration unit replacements and daily cleaning of surrounding area tomaintain a clean working environment.
Additionally, the technician is responsible for fully understanding theproduct function and performance in order to diagnose functional issues duringsetup and run operations.
Product knowledge development is critical to this position. This requires extensive product knowledgelearning with Engineering to establish skills for troubleshooting productfunction.
Complete and thorough product testing is required from the technicianduring setup and run operation that includes extensive use of installationtools and installation coupon preparation.
Mikron Technician will work to Quality System Procedures for operatingprocedures and instructions for machine operations and quality conformancemeasurements and testing as well as specific product drawings.
The pay scale for this position ranges from $$ an hour
Qualifications

Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, andprocedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in allunits of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Blueprint Reading:
Ability to read and understandblueprints.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree(GED). A minimum of two (2) yearsexperience in assembling various products in a manufacturing environment; orequivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employeeis regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk orhear. The employee is occasionally required to walk and stand; reach with handsand arms, and kneel or crouch. Theemployee must frequently lift and/or move to 10 to 15 pounds and occasionallylift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision,color vision, and depth perception.
