Our clinic is looking for a caring mental health therapist dedicated to providing the best possible therapeutic service to our patients. You'll be in charge of doing diagnostic evaluations, developing tailored treatment plans with goals and objectives, offering crisis intervention when needed, and following up with patients to ensure they're getting the best care possible. The ideal applicant will have 1-3 years of clinical experience treating mental health patients and a current LMHC license (licensed mental health counselor). If you're interested in advancing your mental health career, apply todayCompensation:$60 - $85 hourly based on billingResponsibilities:Use patient medical information, interviews, observation, and testing as well as collaboration with other staff members to determine a patient’s mental health status Refer patients and family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary Reassess patient situations and provide appropriate follow-up care based on their current needs Develop specific therapy plans with goals and objectives for individual patients Assist with intervention for patients when a crisis occurs Conduct and interpret psychological evaluations for clients and their familiesProvide counseling and psychotherapy services to achieve treatment goals, reduce symptoms, and improve functioningDocument care and consult with supervisors regarding care decisions on a regular basisQualifications:State licensure that is current, unrestricted, and in good standing for a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) or equivalent Exceptional problem-solving and analytical ability as well as outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are needed This position requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent and a bachelor’s degree in a field such as counseling or social work; we prefer a master’s degree Requires CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a clinical setting working as a mental health therapist Independent licensure or close to sitting for exam - LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, PSYD, etcMust have at least a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Clinical PsychologyAbout CompanyA New Day Family Counseling believes in healing hearts, growing minds, and restoring relationships.
