Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesEchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager - Aviation in our Hughes Network Systems division. This position plays a pivotal role in leading critical programs in the aviation industry and is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation and launch of solutions for Hughes. Launch your new career at Hughes and seize the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in the industry and exceed your potential.Key Responsibilities:Manage the development, qualification, and launch of in-flight connectivity systems in compliance with industry regulations and standardsOrchestrate product development, aircraft certification and product delivery to ensure all customer requirements are captured and managed within the scope of internal and third-party supplier teamsOversee linefit projects to integrate connectivity systems seamlessly for installation during the aircraft production processLead the overall relationship with airline customers and airframe manufacturers through the development and launch phase of the product lifecycleManage strong relationships with vendors, partners, and key stakeholders, providing regular updates and ensuring their needs and expectations are metWork with internal stakeholders to implement rigorous quality control processes to guarantee the reliability, performance, and safety of in-flight connectivity systemsIdentify potential risks in program execution and develop mitigation plans to drive risks to closureIdentify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to establish best practices within the organizationAnticipate and proactively address programmatic, technical, and implementation issues that arise during project developmentDevelop and manage program budgets, ensuring cost control and resource allocationTravel up to 25% Skills, Experience and RequirementsEducation and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, aerospace, business administration, or a related field5+ years of relevant work experience.Skills and Qualifications:Master’s degree in engineering, aerospace, business administration, or a related fieldPrior experience with linefit and retrofit programs in the aviation industryExperience managing phases of the aviation product lifecycle, including design, development, testing, certification, production, maintenance and supportExperience managing STC projects with FAA or EASAAbility to influence a variety of stakeholders to establish concurrenceProficiency in project management software and toolsWill be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
