Plumber II

Description

1. Performs assigned work orders. Completes descriptively, assigned work orders daily.

2. Installs plumbing components, replaces or upgrades older plumbing systems, repairs and installs plumbing systems or fixtures and complies with applicable codes.

3. Submits accurate and complete records of changes and additions to plumbing systems to the Mechanical Foreman as they occur.

4. Works with mechanical contractors. May serve as a liaison with contractors and tradesmen on job sites to assure that questions and problems are answered or resolved.

5. Demonstrates knowledge of locations of mechanical systems, fixtures and plumbing support infrastructure. Knows location of all shut-off valves, cross-connects and emergency back-up services.

6. Requisitions and orders materials as required according to department Purchase order policy. Assures that vendors supply current, complete SDS. Receives materials within shift and verifies quality and quantities.

7. Performs other duties as assigned.
