The Public Safety customers are located centrally in the state of New York.**Perform preventative maintenance routines to ensure proper system operation with focus on trend analysis and documentation of resultsDevelop solutions to difficult technical problems encountered as part of system maintenance, upgrades or support issuesContinuous training in the latest technologies and troubleshooting techniquesTeam with Engineering, Project Management and Sales personnel to effectively maintain, optimize and support advanced communication systems which meet or exceed customer expectationsDevelop solutions to difficult technical problems encountered as part of system maintenance, upgrades or support issuesOptimize and support complex communication systems and software applications, including advanced troubleshooting of software driven electronics, provisioning of communication system infrastructure and performance optimization of RF and Broadband systems. Maintain, optimize, test and document complex communications systems.Provide weekly reports of activities and accomplishmentsDeliver knowledge of R.F. systems, such as transmitters, receivers, and antenna networksDeliver knowledge in standard telephony and dedicated data circuits, and packet switching techniquesSpecific Knowledge/Skills:2 year Associate Degree in Electronics or IT (preferred), or equivalent on-the-job experienceSecurity +, CompTIA or related certificate is highly desirableProficient in computer network installation, configuration and maintenance systems to include cabling, routers, switches, firewalls and bridges. Knowledge of wired communications systems, such as local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN)Experience with logging recording systems, RF interfaces, wired/wireless communications systems and networking equipmentComputer literate with proficiency in Google Suite, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and AccessStrong self-management skills and "people" skills to work closely with Motorola’s customers and subcontractor (MSS) community, as well as Motorola Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and customer service teamsSelf-motivated and self-managed to perform the required duties at a distance from direct supervisionMust be able to solve customer problems quickly during stressful situationsCandidate Requirements: Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer.Must reside in Central New York or be willing to commute to Public Safety customers located in Central New YorkLegal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.Must have a current, valid driver’s license and no traffic violations.Must be willing to travel 30% of the time as needed. #LI-CC1This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.Target Base Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 USDConsistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
