The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Overview: RWJBarnabas Health is hiring for an Electrician trade mechanic at the Community Medical Center. This is a Full-Time position. The Electrician installs and maintains electrical wiring, control, and lighting systems; they will perform other tasks as directed by the Chief Engineer, Manager or Director of Engineering and will answer and dispatch emergency calls as needed during off hours. Qualifications: Required: High School Diploma or equivalent 4+ years of electrical experience Preferred: NJ electrician license preferred Certifications and Licenses Required: New Jersey Driver’s License Scheduling Requirements: 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday with bi-weekly weekend on-call requirements Full Time Essential Functions: Ability to work independently and follow repairs through completion Install and maintain electrical wiring, control, and lighting systems e.g., switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels, other safety and distribution components Inspect, repair, and replace electrical components and equipment such as wiring, fixtures, insulated cables, transformers, and circuit breakers Perform general electrical maintenance and corrective/preventive maintenance on electrical systems, electrical panels, and circuits Inspect, test, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical system issues, safety hazards, and malfunctions Follow the National Electrical Code, state and local building regulations, and safety procedures for every installation and repair Accurately log hours using the work order tracking system TMS Monthly Generator Testing in accordance with joint commission requirements Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
