Special Events Security Officer

This is an event postion for holiday events and winter events. Applicant does have the ability to advance to full time if desired and shows strong preoformance.Position Summary:A Signal Special Events Security Officer will conduct and ensure security of all guests and access points for the Special Events location. All duties listed below are minimum requirements – additional duties listed in the site's Post Orders are requirements as well. Responsibilities: Ensure fans safety and security by conducting careful entry screening and inspections. This will include the tactful messaging of prohibited items or non-compliant bags that cannot be allowed into the stadium.Conduct pat downs as needed to ensure there are no prohibited items entering the stadium.Will conduct and deliver various dedicated services that reflect the company's values, expectations, and consistent service in alignment with site specific instructions/post orders.Assist guests with any special requests including ADA questions or accommodations.You must commit to safety by monitoring crowd activities and report any suspicious activity and/or behavior to your area supervisor.Appropriately identify and escalate security concerns to your supervisor or nearest Law Enforcement Officer as needed.Special projects and assignments as business dictates.Will write detailed and accurate reports utilizing company technology and web or app-based software during each shift that align with site instruction/post orders.The Ability to consistently arrive on time for shifts, clock in and out, meet time commitments, follow instruction, follow dress code and appearance standards and expectations Interacting with internal and external customers on site cultivating a customer service relationship while striving to provide peace of mind.Responsible for the care of any Signal equipment assigned during shift including radios, access keys/cards, vehicles, and devices, etc. Soft Skills: Service-oriented person who places value on each individual guest interactionInsatiable desire to help and support guests and team membersMaintain a positive and professional demeanor at all timesEffective communication skills with the ability to communicate with a wide variety of people in an exciting environmentAbility to take direction and demonstrate flexibility with shifting priorities on event dayAbility to work full stadium events to include nights, weekends, and holidays.Physical Demands:Ability to stand for prolonged periodsSome positions may require the repeated climbing of stairsMust regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsWork EnvironmentThe noise level in the work environment is usually loud/very loud on event daysThis position may require work in inclement weather to include heat, cold, rain, snowRequirements:18 years of age or olderHigh school diploma or GEDPass background check and drug testMust have reliable transportationComplete training modules within first monthExcellent organization, oral, and written communication skills Demonstrate a commitment to service, organization values and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor at all timesMust be able to move equipment weighing up to 20 pounds Signal is an equal opportunity employer.
