Job Title:  SCADA Project Manager

Duration:  1 year contract with perm opportunities

Rate:  $45-$70/hr depending on experience

Location:  Fully remote or onsite in Juno Beach, FL

Position:

Project Manager (Owner's Representative)

Work on behalf of one of the world's largest renewable energy developer and builders as Project Manager supervising SCADA software development, SCADA commissioning, SCADA hardware start-up to control renewable photovoltaic and battery storage power plants.

Position Specific Description:

Experience in related Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) in energy projects. Excellent project management, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. 8+ Years' experience in renewable SCADA system and commissioning of SCADA in Power Plants is required.

Job Overview:

This position is responsible for the overall management of the team and assigned projects, to ensure compliance within required budgetary, scheduling, and safety goals. Employees in this role coordinate and manage construction work performed by contractors and/or vendors at the project site. Employees in this role manage the engineering, procurement and construction oversight-activities necessary to develop, license/permit, erect, start-up, and commence commercial operations.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Works collaboratively with resources in various disciplines to determine project priorities and work plans Meets corporate objectives with limited project management, scheduling and estimating resources Manages department resources to provide effective early-stage project development support Ensures projects are efficiently, effectively and safely implemented in accordance with department procedures and policies Manages walk down of planned work, validates acceptance of completed work to design requirements, approves contractor payment requests Verifies constructability, ensures proper resource allocations, assesses field status and resolves issues as needed Leads project meetings and reviews budget, risk tracker, and contingency allocations Interfaces with projects designated management committees, or acts as Executive Director of project activities Supervises activities and/or coordinates activities or groups, such as safety programs, engineering, construction, budget, and analysis and contract administration Oversees commissioning activities to meet corporate objectives, with limited project management, scheduling and estimating resources Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing commission of SCADA equipment. knowledge of process control commissioning and troubleshooting. Knowledge of AC and DC circuits and troubleshooting ability. Ability to understand electrical schematics and drawings. Review drawings packages and OEM specifications versus installed equipment to confirm it meets design and manufacturer standards. Ability to understand SCADA and communication schematics and drawings. 0-10 volt and 4-20 mA loop knowledge and troubleshooting. Knowledge of Programmable Logic controllers, RTU, meters, networking equipment, fiber optic equipment, and others. Knowledge of Ignition, OPC Serves and SCADA historian. Knowledge of automation protocols (Modbus, DNP3, CAN, OPC, EtherNet/IP and others) Knowledge managed switches, Hirschman's, MOXA, Cisco and others. Knowledge of Networking, Cyber Security and Firewalls. Knowledge of renewable SCADA and control systems. Project Management experience handling multiple consultants, vendors and EPCs. Third party firm management Schedule and planning understanding Strong analytical skills, problem-solving Interface with other projects stakeholder as required

Physical Requirements / Working Environment

Ability to lift up to 20 pounds frequently on a daily basis. Standing on feet for extended periods of time. Ability to work at desk position in front of a computer monitor for extensive periods of time. Bending, stooping, and twisting frequently to move inventory and other items. Ability to operate a motor vehicle for purposes of commuting between 2 working locations. Ability to travel as required.
