Job Description Why is La Posada the right place to expand your career?Excellent work/life balanceGuaranteed 40 hrs. per weekPaid Time Off(k) with company matchExcellent health insuranceMileage incentive program if you live over 15 miles awayWe are willing to train Job Duties include:Operate powered equipment such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, chain-saws, electric clippers, blowers, and pruning saws.Mow and edge lawns, using power mowers and edgers.Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge and brush trimmers, and axes.Prune and trim trees, shrubs, and hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws.Gather and remove litter from campus outdoor areas.Maintain and repair tools and equipment such as fences and benches, using hand and power tools.Water lawns, trees, and plants, using portable sprinkler systems, hoses, or watering cans.Trim and pick flowers, and clean flower beds.Rake and dispose of leaves and other debris.Follow planned landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, sow grass, or plant flowers and foliage.Plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, and shrubs, and apply mulch for protection, using gardening tools.Decorate gardens with stones and plants.Use irrigation methods to adjust the amount of water consumption and to prevent waste.Install rock gardens, ponds, decks, drainage systems, irrigation systems, retaining walls, fences, and/or planters.Build forms, and mix and pour cement to form garden borders or sidewalks.Spread fertilizers onto grass, shrubs, and trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders.Plan and cultivate lawns and gardens.Any other duties assigned by supervisor.
