We are hiring a Custodian/ Utility Worker for our gated retirement community. All of our clients live within the community, so no travel is neededHow you will make an impact: Maintaining cleanliness of the community through the use of specialized equipment.Ensuring proper handling and disposal of wasteUtilizing work orders to ensure proper room/furniture setupsAssisting with movement and delivery of heavy objects/packagesTrashing removal including, refuse and recyclingMaintaining hard floor surfaces, including scrubbing, mopping, burnishing, stripping, and waxing as well as carpeted surfaces, including extracting, interim cleaning, spotting, drying, and vacuuming.What we offer: Compensation: $14.50 an hour to $18.50 an hour, commensurate of experience.2 Shifts availableFull-Time Afternoon Shift : Monday - Friday -Hours: 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM (no weekends)Full-Time Day Shift: Monday - Friday - Hours: 8:00 AM -4:30 PM plus rotating weekends and holidaysOnsite medical centers, providing wellness visits and sick care for all employees over 18 years of age.Discounted meals in our restaurantsGated community with 24/7 securityFree onsite parking at all of our communities and corporate officesA culture of diversity and inclusion, which builds on our values, vision, and mission.Education assistance, certification reimbursement, and student loan refinancing partnership programs are available.What you will need:High school diploma or GED required.Ability to safely operate carpet care equipment, hard floor care equipment, trash removal equipment, and any other equipment necessary for the cleanliness of the communityAbility to be flexible and honor other requests from residents or departments that can be completed in the allotted timeAbility to work independently and as a contributing team memberAbility to safely operate Housekeeping vehiclesPrevious experience in carpet care and floor finishing techniques is preferred.
