Position OverviewThe primary responsibility of the Intern is to assist in project activities and learn the key operating procedures of the departments assigned. Several departments within the Las Vegas Sands Corp. company are offering internship opportunities. Each of these departments offer a unique, hands-on experience that will provide interns with insight into the day-to-day responsibilities. Interns will be placed in the respective corporate department based on the intern’s preference and company needs. LVSC departments offering internships include Global Cyber Security, Human Resources, Corporate Development – Design & Construction, Corporate Treasury, Corporate Tax.All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s policies, practices, and procedures. All Las Vegas Sands Corp. Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times. Team Members are required to observe the Company’s standards, work requirements and rules of conduct. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with a mentor to learn about the various corporate departments and processes.Learns the operational workings of the department in which assigned – by observing team members, participating in meetings, and assisting team with projects.Assists the Department Manager with assigned operational functions consistent with the strategic plan and vision for the department, the division and organization.Perform job duties in a safe manner.Attend work as scheduled on a consistent and regular basis.Perform other related duties as assigned.LVSC Corporate DepartmentsGlobal Cyber SecurityRotational Human Resources – (Team Member Relations, Benefits, and TA)Corporate Development – Design & ConstructionCorporate TreasuryCorporate TaxMinimum QualificationsAt least 18 years of age.Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University, pursuing a relevant major to the departmental internship applying for.Undergraduates who have completed their junior year preferred.Graduates who have completed their first year of graduate school preferred.Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.Proficiency in relevant systems and Microsoft Office suite are essential.Be a team player.Project or portfolio of relevant experience.Be responsible for their own transportation and housing costs.Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and interact appropriately with management, and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience. Must be able to work varied shifts, including holidays.Physical RequirementsMust be able to:Physically access assigned workspace areas with or without reasonable accommodation.Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, and dust.Utilize laptop and standard keyboard to perform essential functions of the job.
