As a Shift Supervisor with Taylor Logistics, your role is central to our business and to the operation of a safe, quality 175-year-old business. This full-time hourly is located in Monroe, OH.Shift: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday 4:00AM - 4:00PM Reports to: Operations ManagerReporting Staff: Weekend Shift Lead, Shipping/Receiving Clerks, Warehouse OperatorsResponsibilities:Manage the performance of people and processes in the warehousePlan and assign work Monitor and maintain shift production Monitor staffing needs and escalate to management when necessaryCollaborate with other shift and department supervisorsEnsure Good Distribution Practices are being followedCoach, counsel and advise warehouse employeesMonitor and maintain employee time records, time off requests, general paperwork, disciplinary records, safety investigations and quality assurance documentationEnforce safety, behavioral and performance policiesEncourage excellent work through acknowledging skilled employeesContinuously improve workflow and processOther duties as assignedRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent1+ year of supervisory experience preferred2+ years of warehouse experience preferredAbility to safely maneuver a forklift and other warehouse equipment Qualified in the operation of key informational systems within the warehouseAbility to communicate clearly and effectivelyComputer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office Analytical and problem-solving skills, including mathematical reasoningAbility to apply common sense understanding to give and carry out instructions necessary for the operations of the businessWork Environment/Physical Demands:This position requires work in a warehouse environment with loud noises and changing/challenging climates (hot/cold based on the season). You must be able to bend, grasp, kneel, stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs.
