You can be a part of an exciting and diverse group of professionals that are committed to being the best at what they do. Step into Your New RoleKleinfelder's GTS area is looking for Field Integrity Engineers to join our office located in Atlanta, Georgia Working with Project Managers, the Field Integrity Engineer will establish and organize detailed reports pertaining to gas pipeline system integrity in accordance with Federal Code and associated guidelines. The Field Integrity Engineer coordinates pipeline field activities and data gathering activities associated with investigative digs to achieve project quality, scope, and schedule goals, all while ensuring pipeline safety is top of mind. This is a hybrid work scheduleConsideration for a Field Integrity Engineering position requires the following certifications or experience:Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Metallurgical, Materials, or Petroleum) or Construction Management4 - 8 years of relevant experienceEIT desired, PE preferredUnderstanding of Natural Gas Integrity Management and pipeline repair methodsRegulatory Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of DOT CFR Part , specifically Subpart O (Gas Transmission Pipeline Integrity Management)Standards: Familiarity with ASME B.8S (Managing System Integrity of Gas Pipelines) and its application to threat management and risk assessmentFundamental understanding of quality philosophies, tools, and professional ethicsKnowledge of project scheduling tools, durations, and critical path analysisProven construction experience in a utility or pipeline environmentEffective Communication – Written and VerbalProficient use of MS Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and ProjectProficient use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) (preferred)NACE (AMPP) or other industry equivalent credentials (preferred)Advanced analytical and data management skills (preferred)Ability to work independently with minimal supervisionRemaining strength calculation proficiencyOSHA requirements for excavationsWork Area Protection (WAP) requirements for excavationsAs a Field Integrity Engineer with Kleinfelder, you will be expected to:Review, organize, correct, and help document detailed historical records and data pertaining to gas system integrity to support MAOP Reconfirmation effortsEnsure all data gathering meets Traceable, Verifiable, and Complete (TVC) standards in accordance with federal regulationsExercise project quality assurance programs for field activities, ensuring adherence to CFR and ASME B.8SAssist in the development of QA programs and evaluation processes to create permanent records that meet regulatory standardsCoordinate, and document, pipeline field activities and data gathering associated with investigative digs, Direct Examination (DE), and remediation for regulatory complianceProvide technical assistance and formulate guidance to maintain pipeline safety and regulatory compliance with technical regulationsTrack projects from concept through completion, providing field performance updates to responsible Project Managers and associated teamEnsure project teams are following set processes and established protocolsReview project life cycle times for field activities and provide feedback for continuous improvementAssure compliance with Company policies & proceduresCollaborate with Construction Management, GIS/Asset Data Services, and System Integrity leaders to produce effective solutionsIdentify and properly manage project risk, tracking metrics to identify potential scope or schedule deviationsAssist in coordinating escalated efforts to remediate discovered asset issuesPerform technical analysis to evaluate pipeline condition, root cause analysis, and fitness for serviceOrganize and maintain pipeline data, assessment reports, technical documentation, procedures, and the basis for all TIMP decisionsPrepare remediation plans and schedule and identify other pertinent risk reduction measuresIdentify and track scope changes per the Change Management process (., documented impact analysis and approvals)Attend regular department and project meetingsUp to % Field Work: Expect significant time in the field conducting inspections and oversight% Overnight Travel: Required for remote project sitesFlexibility: Available to work occasional night shifts as project requirements dictateMove Forward with KleinfelderKleinfelder has been connecting great people to the best work since 1.
