Tupper Lake Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation - About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic rehabilitation team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in implementing individualized treatment plans developed by the Occupational TherapistGuide patients through therapeutic activities and exercises to improve motor skills, coordination, and independenceMonitor and document patient progress, reporting changes to the supervising therapistEducate patients and caregivers on techniques to enhance functional performanceMaintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standardsCollaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient careSupport patients in using adaptive equipment and assistive technologyPromote a safe and encouraging environment for rehabilitation QualificationsAssociate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant programCurrent certification by the NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy)State licensure or eligibility to obtain licensureStrong communication and interpersonal skillsExperience in pediatric, adult, or geriatric settings is a plusCommitment to compassionate, patient-centered care?
