The Best Players Need the Best People.This position is responsible for audio post operations across all non-live audio production including commercials, long and short form television, post produced programming for streaming platforms and digital as well as supporting radio broadcasts with intros and sounders. This position is responsible for Dialogue, Music and Sound Effects editing, Sound Design creation, Recording and Multiformat Mixing. In addition, this position is a cross-department collaborator involved in the technical planning, design and execution of systems at PGA TOUR Studios as it relates to their department. This role requires technical precision, fast troubleshooting, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s Degree or related technical education requiredThree – five years’ experience as an Audio Engineer, specializing in Audio Post Production preferredUnderstanding of the fundamentals of audio engineering, broadcast audio signal flow, console operationStrong knowledge of DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations) Pro-Tools, othersExperience mixing in Dolby 5.1 or AtmosExperience in recording remote voice overs with Source Connect or similar technologyExperience in denoising and sound restoration with products such as Izotope RX or similarBasic understanding of editing systems such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Avid Media ComposerAbility to manage multiple simultaneous audio sources with speed and precisionFamiliarity with broadcast control rooms, studio floor audio setups, and communication systems preferredStrong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to stay calm under pressureTeamwork and communication skills; able to work closely with editors, producers and talentStrong interest in golf preferredMust be able to work a flexible work schedule which may include evenings, weekends, or holidays.RESPOSIBILITIES/DUTIESExecuting audio post skills as Dialogue Editor, Re-Recording Mixer, Sound Designer and Music EditorLead complex audio mixes for all post produced programmingRecord voice overs in Studios Audio Booth and/or remotely through Source Connect or other technologyEnhance graphic animations with sound designEnhance sweeten b-roll with appropriate natural soundMine weekly broadcasts and clip audio to enhance and grow golf specific sound libraryAudio restoration and noise reduction on source material as neededFinalize audio mixes to video masterAudio oversite of live content including field and studio productionAssemble and mix pre-produced, studio and live post production elementsPerform sound checks, troubleshoot signal paths, and ensure all audio equipment is functioning properlyPatch and route audio feeds through routers and consoles for recordingCommunicate all technical equipment problems immediately to engineering through the maintenance reports and assist engineering in locating and identifying equipment problems as neededMaintain operations within guidelines of PGA TOUR Studios Technical Procedures.Work closely with the Director of Post Production and Scheduling to allocate resourcesCollaborate with production and editing teams to innovateWork with Director of Post Production to expand and develop standard operating proceduresEvaluate and recommend new tools, hardware and workflowsMaintain accurate records of project time in project management softwareStay current with evolving audio technology and best practicesSpecial projects or other duties as assigned
