The work schedule could be a Hybrid work opportunity in Puerto Rico or may be based in our Atkins Caribe office. How will you contribute to the team? Performs preliminary electrical engineering design and/or reviews the design and drafting work of junior engineers, designers, or drafters as load flow and short circuit analysis, grounding, and lightning protection system calculations. Preparing engineering reports, tender and construction drawings, and documents. Developing wiring diagrams, single line and three-line diagrams and schematic diagrams using AutoCAD. Assisting with field construction, commissioning, and vendor factory acceptance tests. Ability to effectively interact with other disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects. knowledge of NEC, ANSI and IEEE standards and recommended practices. Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope. Prepares cost and man-hour estimates, job budgets and schedules. Prepares or oversees the preparation of final plans and reports and submits them for approval. Conducts or oversees personnel involved in engineering investigations and planning work. May occasionally assist in the management of projects. What will you contribute? B.S. or M.S. in Engineering. Minimal experience is required of incumbents with a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering; no experience required with a Master’s degree. Technical writing, computer and communications skills required. Microsoft Office and CAD skills required. E.I. or EIT desired.
