Senior Financial Analyst, Alexa and AGI Finance

Amazon seeks an Senior Financial Analyst to play a key role on the Alexa and Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) Insights, Planning, Econometrics and Decision (IPED) finance team. This role will be responsible for driving broad insights that can shape the Alexa and AGI financial strategies, including the GAAP and econometric P&L used to inform short and long term investment decisions. The successful candidate will build scalable analyses, key performance indicators and insights. These insights will be shared with the Alexa and AGI Business and Finance Leadership teams to inform strategic decision making.This position will work closely with multiple stakeholders across the organization (e.g. Devices and Services FP&A, leaders within the Alexa and AGI Finance organizations, and cross-organizational business and finance teams) to align on critical inputs, ranges of outcomes, and confidence intervals. This role requires someone to be analytical, creative, detail oriented and eager to continuously learn.Key job responsibilitiesKey job responsibilities- Leading short and long-term financial forecasting and planning for AWS cloud infrastructure costs across AGI and Alexa- Building financial reports, models, variance analysis, and cost allocations- Measuring operational and business metrics- Establishing controls and providing recommendations for infrastructure efficiency- Presenting financial summaries and business insights to senior managementBASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- 3+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience- Experience working with stakeholdersPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- MBA, or CPA- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligenceAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
