Shema Kolainu-Hear Our Voices - Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT) - BronxCompany: Shema Kolainu-Hear Our VoicesLocation: The Bronx, NYJob Summary:Shema Kolainu-Hear Our Voices, a private, nonprofit school and center dedicated to supporting children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related developmental disabilities, is seeking a Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT) to join our team in the Bronx. As a SEIT, you will provide specialized educational services to students with autism and related disabilities in their natural environments, such as home or community settings. We are committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment that empowers students to reach their full potential.Responsibilities:Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide direct instruction to students in their natural environmentsCollaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to provide a cohesive educational programConduct assessments, observations, and progress monitoring to inform instruction and make data-driven decisionsProvide consultation and training to parents, caregivers, and other professionals on strategies and techniques to support students with autism and related disabilitiesMaintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and services providedRequirements:Master's degree in Special Education or related fieldExperience working with students with autism spectrum disorder and related developmental disabilitiesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFamiliarity with New York State Department of Education regulations and guidelinesWhat We Offer:Competitive salary range: $70 - $90 BI-WEEKLYOpportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with autism and related disabilitiesProfessional development and growth opportunitiesA dynamic and supportive work environmentHow to Apply:If you are a motivated and dedicated professional passionate about supporting students with autism and related disabilities, please apply to this exciting opportunity.
