Our network benefits include:  Competitive salary (starting at $51,500 for licensed applicants) with an average 2% pay raise or more per year Competitive healthcare options Employer contributions to retirement plans (match up to 5%, immediately vested) Extra earning potential for leading professional development, clubs, and sports teams Opportunity for performance and incentive bonus Eligibility for Federal student loan forgiveness for teachers Verizon cell phone plan YMCA health club membership discount Cultural stipend for area attractions (Indianapolis Zoo, The Children’s Museum, Newfields, etc.) Big box retail stipend Gym/Wellness stipend On-site daycare for staff   WHAT WE ARE SEEKING The best candidates for this position will embody the values and beliefs at the heart of the VCP mission and vision.   They will also meet the following qualifications and possess these preferred skills:  Bachelor’s degree Teaching License (or ability to obtain teaching license) in related subject area OR enrolled in an accredited Transition to Teaching program Knowledge of No-Nonsense Nurturer and/or 4-Step Model for student behavior management helpful, but not required Ability and willingness to work collaboratively, maintaining cooperative and effective working relationships Eagerness and ability to receive and implement feedback from manager, coach, and/or peers Ability to proactively build meaningful, positive relationships with all students Ability to be punctual and have a strong attendance record   WHAT THIS ROLE WILL ACCOMPLISH Use the state standards and curriculum to internalize rigorous, objective-driven, lessons aligned with school-provided curriculum maps Work daily with associate/co-teacher to maintain a collaborative co-teaching environment Differentiate lessons for individual students based on their unique learning needs  Implement classroom procedures, systems, and routines that provide structure for students and maximize instructional time Regularly assess and track student performance towards ambitious student academic outcomes goals Use data to reflect on effectiveness of lessons and student achievement progress in order to improve instruction and teaching practice Communicate frequently and effectively with student families;  promptly return phone calls and answer emails Use restorative practices to build positive classroom culture Work with the Behavior Support team to address student emotional and mental well being and needs   APPLY NOW We will only consider applications that include the following:  Current resume (e-mail address included) Victory College Prep is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, veteran status, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
